Herwin Roerdink

Herwin advises clients on the protection, exploitation and enforcement of their intellectual property and (online) marketing. He has been an attorney at law since 2006 and is a partner in the IP department of Vondst. Herwin combines IP litigation (mostly in trademark, design and copyright matters before national courts, BOIP, the Benelux Court of Justice, EUIPO and European courts) with advisory and transactional work. He represents a range of clients in various sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), fashion and luxury goods, internet, media and entertainment, renewable energy and charity. Herwin is amongst other things co-author of the chapter “The trustee and intellectual property” in the “Insolvency Practice” book, the loose-leaf intellectual property textbook “Intellectual Property” and the Commentary on the Dutch Civil Code (chapter on unfair trade practices) He has been described in WTR1000, Chambers Global/Europe and Legal500 as “an excellent business lawyer” and “an exceptional choice for all IP-related matters”. Clients love his hands-on nature, vast IP knowledge and technical insights. Herwin is a member of the International Trademarks Association (member of the Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee), MARQUES (member of the Designs Team), and the Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law (head of the Communications Committee).
