Kerry B. Brownlee, a partner and member of the anti-counterfeiting and litigation group at Epstein Drangel LLP, has been with the firm since 2014. In her role, she focuses on, and has had experience with, varied facets of intellectual property, including, but not limited to, issues relating to trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, false advertising, unfair competition, design patents, and licensing. She has managed transactional and litigation matters for clients in various industries, including, but not limited to consumer products, toys, fashion, entertainment, the arts and jewelry. She has extensive experience with copyright applications, and routinely counsels clients on matters pertaining to copyrights, including fair use. She regularly represents clients in federal court litigations, as well as in matters before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Kerry is an active member of the New York City Bar Association, and currently serves as a member on the Copyright & Literary Property Committee. She is also an active member of the Copyright Society of the USA. Kerry is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, magna cum laude, in May 2014, with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Communications Law. While in law school, Kerry served as a Notes Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution, and participated in the Indie Film Clinic. Prior to attending law school, she worked in advertising as a media planner for nearly two years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Advertising and Spanish Language & Literature from Syracuse University.
